Objectives of Geriatric and Gerontology
1. To learn the complexity of aging, patient management and the importance of dentistry.
2. To know how to work as part of a patient management team including primary physician, medical specialists and dental specialists.
3. To know how to work with an ethnically diversed population in the dental office as well as a variety of settings such as senior citizen’s center, assisted living facilities, religious institutions, adult day care care and subsidized housing.
